Dr. Pote was inspired to pursue veterinary medicine after working at the Center for Wildlife in Cape Neddick, Maine.
She attended Atlantic Veterinary College/UPEI and earned her DVM in 2017. Her favorite thing about being a vet is communicating with her clients, imparting knowledge and sharing ideas with the goal of providing the best possible care to her patients. Above all, Dr. Pote wants her clients to feel confident about making decisions regarding their pets’ healthcare.
In 2021 Michelle and her husband Jason built their home in Berwick, Maine where they live with their Boston Terrier Tyko. They welcomed their first child in March of 2026.
When she's not on vet duty, Dr. Pote & her family enjoy hiking, rock climbing, skiing and kayaking around Maine & New Hampshire.
